This is a video of my Simplicity built Homelite T8 lawn tractor. It has a newer 8HP Briggs vertical shaft pull start only engine. Originally it had a Briggs electric start engine. The engine runs well but I'm going to put an electric start flywheel and alternator on it to make it electric start again. I have a 36in mower deck, 30in rear tiller, 32in snow thrower and 42in dozer blade for it.

- What is the reputation of Gravely Ariens lawn/garden mower tractor equipment?
How good are they and how are their Zero Point turn machines for longevity. Have a John Deere 314 that cut 3 acres+ of grass and hauled since new in 1979 and engine lasted 27 years before being rebuilt becuase it was burning oil. Stopped into Gravely Ariens and just wonder how good they are. Still will never sell the old deere but just wanted to know thinking on another tractor.
A Well I know of people owning Gravely equipment that lasted them 30 and 40 years. Whether they are still that good I'd like to hope. I have a walk behind self-propelled lawn mower from 1981. Have only had to do regular maintenance and one carb rebuild on the B&S engine ($4.00). Not bad?

I am a bit of a noob in the garden and I have seen all different types of lawn mowers its all very confusing to be honest. I was wandering if any one with a keen green thumb could help me out. And also does any one know if lawnrake mowers are the same as lawn mowers; they look identical and I am easily confused...
A Lawn rake mowers, don't mow they do what they say they rake the grass/ leaves into the bagger on a tractor.... I would get a 42 inch craftsman, they are cheep ( craigslist) and parts are everywhere, also mine has a snow plow....bonus for winter time
