- How do you remove a needle valve seat in a Craftsman carburetor?
Is there some special tool for removing a carburetor needle valve seat? Also, How is it replaced without damaging it? It's rubber and can easily be "nicked" while installing.
A Sounds like a Tecumseh motor. I have blown the seat out with compressed air. As far as putting the new one in, it should just drop into the hole and you can seat it with the old needle valve. I assume that you are putting a new seat in the carburetor. You can get the old one out with a scribe or air. If you aren't going to put a new seat in don't take the old one out.
