- Riding Mowers, Who's is better John Deere or Cub Cadet...I looking around the 25 HP range?
I'm looking at the John Deere & the Cub Cadet mowers. I have about 8 arces to mow. My last mower is a John Deere. It has worked great for 10 solid years with little trouble but it's time to get a new fansy one. your views & thoughts would be appreciated
A Your answer really comes down to the engine in the mower. Look for an engine that is OHV it is a much better mower than a OHC engine. After that I like Honda and Kawasaki engines better than Kohler and certainly better than Briggs and Stratton. I do not know any mower that comes with a Robin engine but they seem to be the best small engine out there.

A I would say stick with John Deere...I'm far from an expert but my father has 2 John Deere riding mowers that are both over 20 years and there still running!
