- what is better a john deere zero turn or grasshopper?
there like the same but price is way differnt. john deere has been around for awhile so what's better? please explain why thanks.

- John Deere zero turn tractor?
I have 6.5 acres. 2 acres of the land is woods so I have somewhere from 4-5 acres of grass. So I need a new tractor to cut the grass I have looked at these two tractors from lowes and these are the two tractors. John Deere zero turn EZtrak Z425 23hp with 54 in deck. And the John Deere tractor LA175 with 26hp and 54 in deck. But do you think that either tractor could cut this much grass or would you recommend getting a bigger tractor? Also how much could each tractor cut? and which would you pick for 4-5 acres of grass to cut?

A Here on the farm he cuts about 8 acres of grass since he retired. (Seems he finds more to add each year, boredom I guess). Anyway, we had always boughten the John Deere tractors until 10 yrs ago. We still use the 7510 for field work, but the rider still sits in the pole shed ever since he tried out a Gravely zero turn. Http://www.gravely.com He has alot to mow around, creek, railroad tracks, corn cribs, barn, pole sheds, etc. gets it all done in one day, & cuts beautifully even in a good rain shower. We have the 266M XDZ 66"deck with 40 hp. (commercial). It's cheaper to buy than a J.D. too. He loves it, on his second mower now, traded last year.
