- Buy lawn mower ignition coil?
I have an MTD Yard Machine #13AC762F729 which requires a new ignition coil. I am having trouble finding where to buy this part. Any help would be appreciated. More Info: 38'' Riding Mower Motor is Briggs and Stratton 13.5 hp 344 cc
A There is a good chance that you local small engine repair shop will have one in stock. You will need the numbers off of the engine, type, model, serial or the number off of the old coil. You can get one at this site, I have ordered parts from them before and they have decent prices. http://www.psep.biz/store/briggs_stratton_ignition_coils.htm

Is it possible to try to fix a lawn mower ignition coil before having to resort to buy a new one?
A It's not possible to repair an ignition coil of any kind, if it's has fault replace it. Make sure the contact points are gapped correctly, I would replace the condenser first before the coil. Check the low tension leads for breaks or dirty/loose connections at the terminals.
