Myself, uxwbill and bizzarefurhead all get together to replace the seat on the old John Deere 316 mower. Hilarity ensues, the first seat doesn't work and the second one worked fine.

A Remove the wires from the switch, strip the insulation back and twist them together. Don't forget to wrap the bare wires with electrical tape!

- new craftman riding mower seat safety switch?
I know that removal of the safety switch on a riding mower is a bad idea. So, can anyone tell me how to turn this feature off? It is way to sensitive. I've heard to use a jumer wire, but unaware on where to put it.
A yep .. exactly .. use a jumper wire .... on the wire connector that attaches to the switch on the underside of the seat.
