- John Deere riding mower attachments snow plow or blower?
I can't decide if I should get an attachment for my JD LA120 snow blower attachment or the plow/blade. Anyone with experiences with this and can give me some pros and cons would be great. Thanks

A If you live in an area with a heavy snowfall, opt for the blower. Your riding mower is not a heavy machine and if you have a, for example, eight or ten inch accumulation of wet snow the little machine may not even be able to push it, even with tire chains. Also, with a plow you need plenty of space to put the snow. Unless you can just push it out into the street, as the winter progresses you can easily run out of space to pile the snow with a blade. And if the city or municipal happens to plow your driveway shut you will still be shoveling. You will not have any of these problems with a blower. Of course a snow blower is more expensive to buy and maintain and if you should happen to have a gravel driveway, they certainly do not digest rocks at all well.

- Which is better, a snow blower or snow plow on a riding mower?
I just purchased a new home which has a driveway that it too long to shovel. It has a slope coming up it, so the Ohio snow is making it difficult to get up it right now. So, I was considering buying either a snow blower or a plow to put on a riding mower. Has anyone had experience with both and which is better for a big job. Also, the driveway is only slightly wider than a car's width,

A I live in Saskatchewan and deal with a lot of snow and a long driveway. I prefer to use a blower because it allows you to put the snow where you want it, like fire it over the bushes or garden. Using a plough is quicker but you end up with huge pyramids of snow and where to put them. Also a plough tends to scrape up gravel etc which can end up on your lawn.
