- How can i take the blades of my 52' Toro zero turn mower?
I tried to have my buddy hold up the mower while i got a socket wrench to it, but they would not budge, and they need to be replaced bad for upcoming jobs i have. any suggestions? my buddy thinks there is a second bolt on top that we should hold.
A Try wedging a board between the blade and the mower deck to hold the blade. Some are on pretty tight, as an example troy bilt blades are torqued to 90 ft/lbs. You could try an impact wrench. Make sure that you are turning it the correct direction. Lefty loosy, righty tighty. Hold the blade not the nut on top of the mandrel pulley.
